SILVER SPRINGS, FL, NOV. 1, 2006 – The Florida Professional Firefighters (FPF) has endorsed the re-election of Congressman Cliff Stearns in Florida’s Sixth Congressional District. They also endorsed Stearns in 2004. In a message then to Florida’s firefighters and paramedics, the FPF states that the endorsed candidates “have stated their strong support for your issues.” Endorsements by the FPF are based on the recommendations of FPF Councils, Locals, and District Vice Presidents.

“It takes dedication and courage to ignore the basic instinct to avoid danger and instead to rush in to help during an emergency,” said Stearns. “They are there when we need them in the most dangerous situations, and I am proud to gain their support – I will continue to be there for them.”
