WASHINGTON, FEB. 20, 2008 - "One of the top priorities in any emergency situation is establishing a coordinated response, which requires secure communications." Said Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Ocala). "I am very pleased that I was able to obtain $282,000 for an 800 MHz radio system to serve the public safety needs of Lake County during hurricanes, tornadoes, or other emergencies. This radio system will enable Lake County's police, fire, medical, and public safety services to coordinate an emergency response throughout the County."
