CITE STEARNS’ WORK TO PROMOTE A PROSPEROUS ECONOMY FOR ALL FLORIDIANS
OCALA, AUG. 18, 2008 – The Associated Industries of Florida (AIF) has endorsed the re-election of Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Ocala) in Florida’s Sixth Congressional District. "This is the first year that AIF has endorsed federal candidates and in doing so we hope to show our support of pro-business candidates nationally," stated Barney T. Bishop III, President and Chief Executive Officer of AIF. "We were impressed by your appreciation of the free enterprise system and support for policies that will promote a prosperous economy for all Floridians."
"My background as a small business owner gives me a deep understanding of what we need to do in Congress to promote economic growth," said Stearns. "The American people are creative, capable, and hard working, and unleashing their talents will ensure a brighter future for all.
