OCALA, SEPT. 2, 2008 – The National Vietnam & Gulf War Veterans Coalition is endorsing the re-election of Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Ocala) to Florida’s Sixth Congressional District. John J. Molloy, the Coalition’s Chairman, stated, “The Coalition board was recently polled and your position on veterans issues and your position on issues pertaining to the security of the United States and the safety of its citizens were evaluated. The board was very impressed with the rating awarded you by the Center for Security Policy and by your efforts on behalf of our nation’s veterans. Consequently, the board unanimously agreed to endorse your re-election to the United States House of Representatives.” Stearns is the Vice Republican Leader on the House Veterans Affairs Committee and had served as the Chairman of the Veterans Health Subcommittee.
