STEARNS RECEIVES THE NRA’S HIGHEST RATING IN THE NATION

OCALA, OCT. 6, 2008 - The National rifle Association-Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing the re-election of Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Sixth) and has given him an "A+" rating. According to the NRA-PVF, Stearns received this rating as "an incumbent with not only an excellent voting record on critical NRA issues, but who has also made a vigorous effort to promote the Second Amendment." The NRA-PVF ranks political candidates, irrespective of party affiliation, based on voting records, public statements and their responses to an NRA-PVF questionnaire.

"I am committed to upholding the U.S. Constitution, including our Second Amendment Rights," said Stearns. "I appreciate the support of the NRA-PVF and the people of Florida who enjoy hunting and shooting sports, and I want to continue to preserve the right of honest citizens to have firearms."
