RALLY AT WEST PORT HIGH SCHOOL, GATES OPEN AT NOON

OCALA, OCT. 30, 2008 -- Governor Sarah Palin, the Republican nominee for Vice President of the United States of America, will attend a political rally in Ocala at West Port High School on Saturday, November 1, 2008. The gates for the rally will open at noon with the pre-program starting at 2:00 PM. West Port High School is located at 3733 SW 80th Avenue, Ocala.

"I look forward to welcoming Gov. Palin and the McCain campaign to Ocala, the Heart of Central Florida," said Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Ocala). "She is a strong advocate for our military, with a son currently serving in the Army in Iraq; a proven reformer; and an expert on energy policy."

Added Stearns, "She is the first woman to be the Republican nominee for Vice President, making this visit historically significant. This rally is part of a drive to win Florida in the waning days of a hard-fought campaign. North Central Florida is a key battleground for the McCain campaign, and I am pleased that Gov. Palin is coming to the 'All American City' of Ocala."
